I am an experienced
Executive with extensive knowledge in the field of international Business
Development for dotcom, telecommunications, software and e-commerce companies.
I'm familiar with international IT-business issues through my work with
various companies and extensive stays abroad · especially in the
U.S. and Asia.
I am currently working
as independent consultant for various international companies targeting
the U.S. market, and I joined LaunchDreams LLC where I am responsible
for International Business Development, and serve as a key contact for
US clients and prospects in Europe and Asia.
I held the positions
of General Manager and Vice President for intraDAT international, Inc.,
in Washington D.C., a subsidiary of intraDAT AG, Germany. At intraDAT,
I was responsible for successfully establishing a subsidiary for the German
company in the United States from scratch. After setting up the physical
and legal infrastructure, I created an extensive network of partnerships
and strategic alliances not only in the U.S. but also in Canada, Mexico,
Great Britain, France and Korea. Responsible for marketing and PR, I helped
strengthening the company's position as one of Germany's top technology
firms and helped its products gain broad recognition in the U.S. My efforts
to target customers through events like seminars, tradeshows and networking
generated a major part of the company's revenue. Apart from leading the
company's everyday business, I also played a key role in identifying investors,
drafting the business plan, and finding new strategies for new markets.
As an active member
of the IT-community of the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia area I founded
the monthly German IT-Stammtisch - a highly successful networking event
for international IT-workers and executives interested in Germany.
I hold a Masters
degree in Southeast Asian Studies, Cultural Anthropology and Psychology
and I'm currently working on my PhD thesis at the University of Passau,
Germany. My formal training also includes business management and computer
science.
